(MADISON, WI) — Today on the Jay Weber radio show, Ron Johnson made it abundantly clear that he stands with China over American workers, proudly declaring “I personally would like to see the bill [U.S. Innovation and Competition Act] killed”. In response, Democratic Party of Wisconsin Senate Campaign Advisor Philip Shulman released the following statement:

“Instead of giving Wisconsinites the boost they need in manufacturing and technical training, Ron Johnson is choosing to let China off the hook for their unfair cybersecurity and economic practices. This is yet another reminder that Johnson is in the Senate to serve his own interests and not the Badger state.”

The U.S. Innovation and Competition Act makes a substantial investment leveling the playing field for American workers and companies by supporting Wisconsin manufacturing and technical workforce training, and taking much needed action to hold China accountable for their cybersecurity attacks and unfair economic practices.
