Wisconsin Technology Council President Still: “A ‘perfect storm’ in Wisconsin jobless claims prompted tech overhaul”

MADISON, Wis. – It was not a pleasant time in the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development. The start of the COVID pandemic in early 2020 prompted a surge of unemployment claims as thousands of people lost their jobs, state call centers were overwhelmed, and a mainframe computer system dating back decades was abruptly exposed as inadequate for the times. To make matters worse, Wisconsin’s complex jobless rules, the advent of new federal aid programs and political fallout from claim backlogs had turned a complicated problem into a crisis. “It was really clear to me not long after I arrived (in

[Madison, WI] — Senator Chris Kapenga (R-Delafield) issued the following statement regarding  the Wisconsin Supreme Court decision that confirms the Senate’s scope and power to approve  gubernatorial appointees:  “Governor Tony Evers and Attorney General Josh Kaul continue to file lawsuits when they don’t  get their way—wasting taxpayer dollars—and losing time after time in the courts. MADISON, Wis. – While Republicans in Wisconsin and across the country continue to attack reproductive rights, it’s clear that the American people overwhelmingly oppose the GOP’s anti-choice agenda. Poll after poll shows that the vast majority of Americans agree with Democrats and believe that people deserve to make their own medical decisions – not Republican politicians: Marquette Law School: “Nearly 60 percent of Wisconsinites believe that abortion should be legal in all or most cases.” CBS News: “The American public is rendering its initial judgment on the overturning of Roe v. Wade, and most disapprove of the ruling, including two-thirds of

WisGOP: Lt. Gov. Barnes garners support from radical AOC

In an Instagram post, radical New York Congresswoman Alexander Ocasio-Cortez endorsed Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes’ U.S. Senate campaign.     It is no surprise that AOC wants the far-left Barnes on her “Squad” since he supports “most of the policy items listed by Ocasio-Cortez.” The AOC agenda includes: Democratic Socialism as the new form of government, which would result in abolishing capitalism and ending private ownership of a wide range of industries. The Green New Deal, which would cost trillions of dollars, further spike energy costs, mandate organic farming, and cost dairy farms $2,000 per cow. Abolishing ICE, which would eliminate funding to our out-of-control border crisis.

MADISON, Wis. – As Governor Evers and Attorney General Kaul are leading a lawsuit to directly challenge Wisconsin’s 173 year old abortion ban, anti-abortion groups are pushing for even more extreme restrictions. According to Wisconsin Public Radio:  Some of Wisconsin’s anti-abortion groups want to tighten the state’s pre-Civil War ban on abortions by removing or rewording the exception that allows doctors to perform the procedure to save the life of the mother.
