Pfaff poll shows him trailing Van Orden 5 points in 3rd CD

Dem 3rd CD candidate Brad Pfaff released new polling showing him trailing GOP rival Republican Derrick Van Orden by 5 points. The poll, conducted by the Dem firm Public Policy Polling, found 45 percent of registered voters in the district polled supported Van Orden, a former Navy SEAL who ran in 2020, while 40 percent backed Pfaff, a state senator and former state ag secretary from Onalaska. Pfaff released the poll days after the GOP-aligned Congressional Leadership Fund, which has run ads backing Van Orden, found the GOP nominee leading 50.3 percent to 37.5 among likely voters. Dept. of Natural Resources: Seeking public comment for environmental analysis of shooting range grant funded project

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is seeking public comment on a draft environmental assessment (EA) for the proposed issuance of a grant award to the Brill Area Sportsmen`s Club for a 100/200-yard rifle range project in Rice Lake, Barron County, Wisconsin. The project will clear about one acre of forested area, construct a berm in the newly cleared space, and increase the height of an existing berm by four feet. These berm adjustments will increase safety between the two firing lanes on either side. The DNR is dedicated to promoting hunter safety, hunting and shooting sports.

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) cautions hunters to avoid placing deer stands in or near ash trees this deer season as they start scouting properties.
