MADISON – Representative Mark Born (R – Beaver Dam) released the weekly radio address on behalf of Wisconsin Legislative Republicans.

More good news!

The general fund balance will be at $3.8 billion at the end of this two-year budget. That’s a $2.9 billion increase from what was projected just a few months ago.

That does not include our $1.7 billion also in our budget stabilization fund or the rainy day fund.

We continue to be in sound fiscal shape as a state, this is of course due to quality conservative budgeting for the last ten years, good policy like the tax cuts we’ve seen the last decade from this legislature, as well as the influx of massive amounts of federal money into our state in the last two years.
