Hello, this is Senator Janet Bewley with this week’s Democratic Radio Address.

It certainly feels like summer has begun, even if the official start is still a week away. The class of 2022 has graduated, moving on from high school, technical training, college, or graduate school.  I hope you’ll join me in congratulating those graduates on their resilience and determination through the last couple of years. We are very proud of you and wish you the best of luck as you begin the next chapter of your lives.

Summer also means new and exciting adventures. What better way to spend your summer than visiting one of Wisconsin’s many state parks? From Devil’s Lake, to Copper Falls, to Peninsula State Park– there’s beauty to see in every corner of our state. And thanks to Governor Evers, Wisconsin’s tourism industry is bigger and better than before, with double-digit economic growth in the past year. Democrats in the legislature are proud to stand with the Governor when it comes to supporting small tourism businesses across Wisconsin.

This week, we celebrate Father’s Day. Happy Father’s Day to all dads out there, and to all men who are a strong, stable presence in the life of a child. I hope you have a wonderful day with your loved ones and that everyone finds a way to enjoy some of the many joys of summer in Wisconsin.
