CHICAGO, ILLINOIS: 350 Wisconsin is excited to participate in a coalition of more than a dozen climate justice organizations for the next Global Climate Strike in downtown Chicago on 9/23 at 11 AM. We will be joining forces with youth and frontline activists from around the upper Midwest to demand an end to fossil fuel financing and infrastructure with our Stayin’ Alive act of Civil DISCObedience – an alarm bell and an act of joyful rebellion.

Fossil fuels are killing our planet, with companies focusing on their profit instead of the people. The US Federal Reserve must step in to protect the US from the economic risks of the climate crisis, and Chase Bank and other mega-banks must make a commitment to stop financing fossil fuel development. Senators Durbin and Duckworth must vote NO to Joe Manchin’s proposed agreement that would fast-track permit approvals for dangerous fossil fuel projects

WHO: This joint coalition event is co-hosted by Fridays for Future, Chicago Climate Youth Coalition, Sunrise Movement, 350 Chicago, Rising Tide Chicago, Progressives of Kane County, 350 Wisconsin, 350.org, 350 Milwaukee, and more.

WHERE:  Starting at Pritzker Park 310 S State St, Chicago, IL 60604 and continuing to the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, Chase Tower, and the Kluczynski Federal Building.
