(Shawano, WI) April 7, 2022– Today, Craig Arrowood announces his candidacy for Wisconsin’s 6th Assembly District.
“Wisconsinites and their families are strong and resilient, but their patience has run out with Madison and the feckless ‘leaders’ who have done more harm than good,” said Arrowood. “From Madison to Washington, unelected bureaucrats have far too much control over residents in my district. Their actions have choked and stifled our economy, brought back massive inflation, bankrupted countless businesses, sent our diligent workforce to the unemployment line, closed schools, and allowed our kids to be pawns in their political power-grab. Friends and Neighbors, you deserve better, and I am running to fight against bureaucracy run amok.”
Arrowood, who is running as a conservative Republican, said his candidacy is about supporting people and limiting government.
“I was born and raised in Shawano, Wisconsin. I am proud to be from the Shawano area because it is home. I stayed in Wisconsin and earned a degree in Political Science from Carroll College. So when asked by my local representative to help serve the community, I did so with pride,” said Arrowood. “Wisconsinites want better opportunities, quality education, and safe streets free from violence.”
After graduating from Shawano Community High School in 1999, Arrowood earned his Bachelor’s in Political Science from Carroll College (Waukesha, WI) in 2003. Arrowood then moved back to Shawano and ran a successful campaign for Gary Tauchen in 2006. Craig then proudly served as a legislative aide from 2007 until 2022 for Rep. Tauchen.
Currently, the 6th Assembly District includes most of Shawano County, along with Brown, Outagamie, and Waupaca counties.
