At least 11 candidates are facing challenges to their nomination papers, including the one Dems filed seeking to boot Republican Tim Michels off the ballot for guv.

The full complaints weren’t available as of yesterday afternoon. But the Elections Commission provided WisPolitics.com a list of challenges that had been filed as of shortly before yesterday afternoon’s deadline.

Those facing challenges include:

*Independent Paul Boucher, of Green Bay, running for the 8th CD now held by Republican Mike Gallagher, of Allouez. Boucher turned in 1,036 signatures with a minimum of 1,000 needed to qualify for the ballot.

*Republican Shaun Clarmont, of Oneida, running for the 8th CD. He turned in 1,021 signatures.

*Libertarian Jacob VandenPlas, of Sturgeon Bay, running in the 8th CD. He turned in 1,073 signatures.

*Republican David Kunelius, of Arbor Vitae, in the 7th CD, now held by Republican Tom Tiffany, of Minocqua. Kunelius turned in 1,013 signatures.

*Libertarian Rustin Provance, of Pepin, running in the open 3rd CD. He turned in 994 signatures with 1,000 needed to qualify.

*Republican Amber Provance, of Pepin, running for the 31st SD, now held by Dem Sen. Jeff Smith, of Eau Claire. She turned in 407 signatures with a minimum of 400 required for the office. She is one of two Republicans who filed to run.

*Dem Patty Schachtner, of Somerset, running for the 28th AD. She turned in 354 signatures with 200 needed to run for the Assembly. Dems said Sunday her papers are being challenged because the former state senator listed the municipality in which she lives, not the one used as her mailing address on her nomination papers. It’s the same issue Dems are raising over Michels’ nomination papers.

*Republican Mark Trofimchuck, of Brodhead, running in the open 15th SD. He turned in 587 signatures with 400 needed.

*Republican Micah Behnke, of Green Bay, running in the 90th AD, now held by Dem Kristina Shelton, of Green Bay. He turned in 302 signatures.

*Dem Matt Brown, of Menomonee Falls, running in the 22nd AD, now held by Republican Janel Brandtjen, of Menomonee Falls. He turned in 275 signatures.
