MILWAUKEE, WI — The Chief Deputy of the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office, Dr. Denita Ball, announced today that she has earned the endorsement of her predecessor, former acting Milwaukee County Sheriff, Dr. Richard Schmidt.
“I worked with Dr. Ball during the Lucas administration’s transition into the office and I saw firsthand how hardworking and passionate she is when it comes to law enforcement and public safety,” said Schmidt. “I know Denita will make an excellent Sheriff and she’s absolutely the best candidate for the job.”
“I worked with former Acting Sheriff Schmidt as Sheriff Lucas and I transitioned into the office following the election,” said Dr. Ball. “Rich and I have a shared dedication to making Milwaukee County a stronger, better, and safer place to live, work, play, and pray for everyone. I’m incredibly honored by his friendship, support, and the vote of confidence he has given me today with this endorsement.”
