Dem U.S. Senate candidate Mandela Barnes’ latest ad knocks U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson on abortion.
The spot opens with a staged police call with a voice asking all units to respond to “an abortion at Central Hospital. Officers needed to detain doctor.”
The narrator says Johnson wouldn’t just ban abortions if he had his way, and doctors could go to jail for it. The narrator adds Johnson has cosponsored legislation with no exceptions for rape, incest or the life of the woman. The narrator also notes he’s said if women don’t like “an abortion ban, they can just move.”
“But it’s Ron Johnson who doesn’t belong in Wisconsin,” the narrator says to close the spot.
