MADISON — Today, Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes, candidate for U.S. Senate, announced that the Ron Against Roe tour – a tour holding Ron Johnson accountable for his record of working to strip away Wisconsinites’ ability to access abortion – will include a rally featuring Alexis McGill Johnson, president of Planned Parenthood Action Fund, in Milwaukee.

“Abortion is on the ballot this November – and in order to protect choice and women’s reproductive freedoms, we have to unseat Ron Johnson,” said Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes. “Ron Johnson has spent the past 12 years in office fighting to strip women of their rights. It’s time for him to answer to the people for his dangerous support of banning abortion even in cases of rape or incest.”

“The fight for reproductive freedom runs through Wisconsin,” said Alexis McGill Johnson, president of Planned Parenthood Action Fund. “Politicians like Ron Johnson need to answer for their record of voting to take away their constituents’ fundamental rights, including the right to access abortion. Wisconsin voters deserve better, and Planned Parenthood Action Fund is proud to support them as they mobilize to make Mandela Barnes their senator.”
