MADISON — This week, after spending his entire campaign claiming to support law enforcement, Ron Johnson opposed a plan to recruit and train 100,000 new officers and keep Wisconsin communities safe.

In response, Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes, Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate released the following statement. 

“Ron Johnson wants to talk a big game about keeping communities safe and supporting law enforcement but when push comes to shove, he’s playing politics with Wisconsinites’ safety. His hypocrisy is disqualifying.”

This isn’t the first time Johnson has refused to support funding for law enforcement:
