MADISON — Today, Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes, Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate, released two new ads, correcting false Republican attacks and emphasizing his plan to bring jobs back to Wisconsin. ‘Hard Work’ and ‘Truth’ are part of a multi-million dollar ad campaign on broadcast, cable, and digital throughout the state.

While Ron Johnson attempts to distract from his plan to put Social Security and Medicare on the chopping block, Mandela Barnes is focused on bringing jobs back to Wisconsin and rebuilding the middle class. As a working class candidate and the proud son of a union family, Mandela will always put working families first. Unlike Ron Johnson, who has spent his time in Washington enriching himself and his wealthy donors, Mandela will fight to ensure every Wisconsinite has a fair shot at the American Dream.

Wisconsinites don’t back down from hard work.

We’ve got self-starters and never-stoppers.

Folks who help feed a nation.

Pioneers in innovation.

Teachers and third shifters like my parents.

You deserve a senator who protects your jobs, not one who sends them overseas.

I’ll work to bring manufacturing back home so we can make things in Wisconsin again.

When we harness what we have, we can change where we’re going.

I’m Mandela Barnes, and I approve this message.

Look, we knew the other side would make up lies about me to scare you.

Now they’re claiming I want to defund the police and abolish ICE. That’s a lie.

I’ll make sure our police have the resources and training they need to keep our communities safe.

And that our communities have the resources to stop crime before it happens.

I’ll bring back manufacturing and I’ll pass a middle class tax cut – and if that’s too scary for Washington, then so be it.

I’m Mandela Barnes, and I approve this message.
