MADISON, WI — Wisconsin Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes, candidate for U.S. Senate, announced today that he raised more than $20.1 million in the latest fundraising quarter with nearly half a million individual donations. Q3 was the campaign’s strongest fundraising quarter on record despite taking no money from corporate PACs.

Mandela Barnes has the grassroots momentum to defeat Ron Johnson in November:

  • More than 230,000 total donors
  • Nearly half a million individual donations
  • Not one dime in Corporate PAC money

“It’s clear from the unparalleled grassroots support across the state that Wisconsinites stand with Mandela Barnes as he holds Ron Johnson accountable for supporting an abortion ban with no exceptions for rape, incest, or the life of the woman,” said Maddy McDaniel, spokesperson for Mandela Barnes for U.S. Senate. “This quarter’s show of support is proof that Wisconsinites are ready to replace out-of-touch Ron Johnson and his dangerous record with the pro-worker, pro-choice champion Mandela Barnes.”

In October, Mandela Barnes kicked off his “Ron Against Roe” tour and launched a new ad slamming Ron Johnson for his support for eight national abortion bans, including his cosponsorship of a bill that made no exceptions for rape, incest, or the life of the woman. He has continued to call out Ron Johnson for attempting to hide his out-of-touch and extreme stance on abortion.
