MADISON — Today, news broke that Oshkosh Defense made out with a $3 billion contract to build the next fleet of USPS vehicles by lying to the public and the state about its intentions to employ union labor.

In response, Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes, candidate for U.S. Senate made the following statement:

“Here’s the bottom line: Oshkosh Defense lied to the public in order to sell out the union workers in Wisconsin who built their company. Their corporate executives are lining their pockets with this $3 billion deal, and Ron Johnson is aiding and abetting them.

“If you want something built right, you build it in Wisconsin and you do it with union labor. I am once again urging Congress and President Biden to step in and hold Oshkosh Defense accountable for their lies.”
