MADISON — Today, Wisconsin State Representative Gary Hebl joined over 120 state and local elected officials in endorsing Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes for U.S. Senate. Rep. Hebl released the following statement:

“When it comes to delivering for Wisconsin’s working families, there is no one more qualified than Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes. The product of a middle class union household, Mandela has put in the work and repeatedly shown up in every community across the state. He’s worked to deliver COVID-19 relief to small businesses and farmers, and brought our state’s leaders together to solve some of our toughest challenges, including climate change. In the State Assembly, Mandela was an outspoken partner in the fight to expand opportunity, improve our public schools, and create good-paying union jobs. I look forward to having him as a partner once again at the federal level, championing Wisconsin’s workers and communities.”

Representative Gary Hebl has championed Dane County’s working families, schools, and small businesses in the Wisconsin State Assembly for nearly 20 years. Rep. Hebl joins a long list of leaders in the Democratic Party, including Senators Elizabeth Warren and Cory Booker and House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn, in endorsing Mandela Barnes for U.S. Senate.
