U.S. Senate candidate Mandela Barnes and the state Dem Party have also launched a new ad knocking Johnson on abortion.
The joint buy was about $325,690 over the final two weeks of the race, according to AdImpact.
The narrator says “extremist right-wing politicians” are trying to pass a permanent ban on abortions that could put a woman and her doctor in jail, “but they won’t stop there.”
The narrator says Johnson cosponsored a bill that could’ve banned abortions with no exception for rape, incest or the life of the mother, and that he said if women don’t like their abortion laws, “we can just move.”
The narrator closes the spot, “But it’s Ron Johnson who doesn’t belong in Wisconsin.”
