Last evening, the recount for the 2nd Congressional Partisan Primary wrapped up, shrinking the already record-close margin of my race. Though the recount found that our race was closer than originally thought, it did not change the outcome of this primary, and I would like to congratulate Erik Olsen on becoming the Republican Nominee for the 2022 General Election in Wisconsin’s Second Congressional District.
I would like to thank all of the County Boards of Canvassers that participated in this recount and all of the clerks, poll workers, election inspectors and others that had a role in making the recount a pleasant experience as my team and I observed the process in each county across the district.
I would also like to thank every one of my voters, supporters, volunteers, and staff for helping me in my campaign and the recount. I have had a fantastic team behind me the whole way!
It has been a privilege to be a part of our election process in this way, and I look forward to pursuing other areas of involvement for the good of all the great people of District 2 – all those that I have met thus far through my campaign, as well as those I have yet to meet.
