The Business for Democracy campaign heard yesterday from Daniel Weiner, Director of the Brennan Center for Justice Elections and Governance program.
In this 54-minute video Dan succinctly explains what the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and the Freedom to Vote Act would do to protect democracy and why these bills must be enacted in 2023.
Eight states have established Business for Democracy collaboratives and are raising the voice of small business to the imperative for a strong democracy to maintain a vibrant entrepreneurial economy. This campaign of the American Sustainable Business Network is supporting these bills in addition to the Electoral Count Reform Act. The collaboratives are educating the voters about where Congressional candidates stand on these bills.
