Madison, Wis. — Today, the Clean Wisconsin Action Fund proudly announces its first slate of endorsements for candidates seeking federal and state office ahead of the August 9 primary.
Clean Wisconsin Action Fund endorses the following candidates for Wisconsin Constitutional Officers:
- Office of Governor: Tony Evers
- Office of Attorney General: Josh Kaul
- Office of Secretary of State: Doug LaFollette
“Governor Evers has shown true leadership in organizing the Governor’s Task Force on Climate
Change, developing the state’s first Clean Energy Plan, and creating a new state Office of Environmental Justice,” said Board Chair Gary Goyke. “Attorney General Kaul is holding polluters accountable by suing corporations for releasing dangerous PFAS forever-chemicals into our water resources. And Secretary of State LaFollete is a lifelong champion of environmental causes, having founded our sister organization, Clean Wisconsin, in the 1970s.”
Clean Wisconsin Action Fund endorses the following candidates for the United States House of Representatives:
- 2nd Congressional District: Mark Pocan
- 3rd Congressional District: Brad Pfaff
- 4th Congressional District: Gwen Moore
“Congressman Pocan and Congresswoman Moore have proven their commitment to the environment in countless House votes and initiatives,” said Goyke. “During his tenure in the Wisconsin State Senate, Brad Pfaff worked towards bipartisan solutions to clean water issues, including his key role in ushering through a new law aimed at curbing nitrate pollution.”
The Clean Wisconsin Action Fund will announce more endorsements in the coming weeks.
