On Thursday, Climate Power unveiled a list of GOTV events organized by climate activists in the battleground states of Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. Thursday’s “Day of Action” will drive home the stakes for voters in addressing climate change, holding  Big Oil accountable for overt profiteering, and securing a clean energy future.

From 2 PM to 4 PM CT on Thursday, Wisconsin Conservation Voters will join forces with other climate activists for GOTV tabling and other activities on the campuses of UW-Eau Claire, UW-Green Bay, UW-Madison, and UW-Stevens Point. Volunteers — will be joined by electeds, including Wisconsin State Treasurer Sarah Godlewski and Eau Claire City Council Member  Andrew Werthmann — to speak with students about the high stakes of the election with regard to combating climate change, cracking down on Big Oil, and securing Wisconsin’s clean energy future. A major focus of conversation will be on the dangerous consequences of having Senator Ron Johnson – who calls climate change bullsh*t – serving as Big Oil’s mouthpiece in the Senate for six more years.
