The Congressional Leadership Fund has released its first general election TV ad opposing Brad Pfaff’s run for the 3rd CD.
A spokesperson for the Republican super PAC said it is the first ad in a more than $720,000 reservation for the general election cycle in the 3rd CD. The spot will run in the La Crosse and Wausau markets. The ad is part of $162 million nationwide buy that includes a slate of 22 ads the group announced today across 21 congressional districts.
The ad ties Pfaff, a state senator from Onalaska, to “D.C. elites,” showing images of President Biden and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.
“They’re destroying America and our livelihoods,” a voice-over says. “Now, D.C. elites are spending big on Brad Pfaff.”
The voice-over says elites are funding Pfaff’s campaign because he supported their “big spending, price hiking, reckless schemes.”
“And that’s why we can’t send him to Washington.”
Pfaff is running against Republican Derrick Van Orden for the seat of retiring U.S. Rep. Ron Kind, D-La Crosse.
