WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Scott Fitzgerald (WI-05) sent a letter to Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Chairwoman Lina Khan concerning the FTC’s decision to rollback nonpartisan competition practices, opening the door for the regulator to implement ESG criteria.

“The FTC is intended to be an independent agency above the partisan fold. However, the latest decision to politicize antitrust enforcement demonstrates the erosion of neutrality and reliability of objective competitive markets and consumer protection at the commission, said Congressman Scott Fitzgerald. Chairwoman Khan must reconsider their latest action and protect the integrity of the agency.”
