ALMA, WI—Dairyland Power Cooperative has donated $5,000 towards the purchase of a new scoreboard for the football and baseball field at the Alma Area Schools. The previous scoreboard was outdated and in need of repairs. The Alma Area Schools’ new scoreboard is customized to feature both football and baseball scores.

“As an electric cooperative, one of our founding principles is Concern for Community. We are proud to demonstrate this by supporting communities throughout our service territory and where we do business,” said Director, Member Relations and Chief Communications Officer, Deb Mirasola. “As part of our commitment to being a good neighbor, Dairyland has been actively involved in supporting the Alma community for decades.”

“Dairyland has and continues to be a wonderful supporter of the Alma School District. Their generous donation towards our new scoreboard is greatly appreciated. We can’t wait to light it up and put it on display under the Friday night football lights and this spring for some beautiful baseball evenings. The Alma School District is extremely thankful for the partnership and support that we have with Dairyland,” said Alma School District Administrator, Rob Stewart.
