MADISON, Wis.—Gov. Tony Evers, Maj. Gen. Paul Knapp, Wisconsin’s Adjutant General, Brig. Gen. David May, Wisconsin’s Deputy Adjutant General for Air, and senior Wisconsin Air National Guard leaders will welcome home the first group of over 300 Airmen, Thursday, Jan. 13 at 9:45 a.m. at Dane County Regional Airport.  Gov. Evers, Maj. Gen. Knapp, and Brig. Gen. May are expected to address family and friends before greeting the Airmen upon their arrival.

The Airmen along with unit F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft have been deployed to Prince Sultan Air Base, Saudi Arabia for the past three months supporting contingency operations in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility.  The deployment was the final F-16 combat deployment for the 115th Fighter Wing, which will transition to the F-35A Lightning II in April of 2023.
