Madison, Wis. (January 5, 2022) – Edgewood College has updated the start of the Spring 2022 semester for in-person undergraduate courses to Monday, January 24, 2022. The change comes as a response to the increase in COVID-19 cases across the country. This update does not impact graduate courses, online courses, or accelerated courses, which will adhere to originally published schedules.

“This change represents an effort to balance our commitment to our face-to-face undergraduate experience with our commitment to the safety of all of our community,” President Andrew Manion said. “While this adjustment creates more work for some of us, I am very grateful for all the efforts being made to serve our students.”

The remainder of the schedule for the Spring semester is not affected, Manion added. Any lost class time for undergraduates will be made up during the semester. The academic calendar originally called for in-person undergraduate courses to begin on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.
