Today, Evergreen Action launched “Every Corner,” a new television and digital ad highlighting how Governor Tony Evers’ climate plan will protect Wisconsinites from the impacts of climate change while lowering energy bills and growing the economy. The new ad begins airing today in the Madison market, as part of a significant 6-figure buy on TV, digital and OTT.

“In the closest governor’s race in the country, it’s imperative that voters know who’s working to lower their energy bills, defeat the climate crisis, and grow Wisconsin’s clean energy economy,” said Evergreen Action Executive Director Jamal Raad“Governor Tony Evers’ plan to drive Wisconsin to 100% clean energy is a game changer that could create 40,000 new jobs in Wisconsin and save Wisconsinites money on their energy bills, but he needs a second term to get it done. Governors will play a vital role in powering our clean energy future, and we need Tony Evers’ continued leadership in the governor’s office. There’s only one candidate in this race that is doing the right thing for Wisconsin on climate change, and that’s Tony Evers. The choice is clear.”

TRANSCRIPT:

In every corner of our state, Wisconsinites feel the impact of a changing climate. From the effects on our crops and livestock to the damage to our roads and highways.

That’s why Governor Tony Evers has a plan to take action and protect our state. It will get Wisconsin to one-hundred percent clean energy, lower power bills, grow our local economies, and create more than 40,000 jobs right here in Wisconsin.

Tony Evers. Focused on doing the right thing for Wisconsin families.

Earlier this year, Evergreen Action and Data for Progress released Wisconsin polling that showed Wisconsin voters support bold action to address climate change. It found that clear majorities of Wisconsin voters are concerned about climate change and would like to see Wisconsin produce more energy from clean energy sources. The poll showed that 65% of Wisconsin voters support the Inflation Reduction Act, including wide majorities of Democrats and Independents and 41% of Republicans. And 72% of Wisconsin voters—including majorities of Democrats, Republicans, and Independents—want Gov. Evers to pursue clean energy funding from the law.
