Dem Gov. Tony Evers is up again with a spot featuring law enforcement officials saying the attacks on him are “outright lies.”
According to AdImpact, Evers spent $1.9 million on paid media for the week that ends today. He was poised to spend $1.7 million for the upcoming week.
The spot features Green County Sheriff Jeff Skatrud, former Dane County Sheriff Dave Mahoney, former Stevens Point Police Officer Paul Piotrowski and Dane County Sheriff Kalvin Barrett.
They say the truth is Evers mobilized law enforcement the first night of the Kenosha protests and ordered up the National Guard within 11 hours.
The ad features a clip of Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth, a Republican, saying the state has been “fantastic as far as sending resources from the very first minute we asked them.”
