Gov. Tony Evers has released a new TV knocking GOP rival Tim Michels on education.
The campaign didn’t release details of the ad. According to AdImpact, Evers has more than $4.1 million reserved on paid media from today through the election.
The spot features a woman identified as Jacque, an Oconomowoc mom. She says getting her kids a good education is one of the most important things to her, so she’s concerned when she hears Tim Michels say things like “we’re already throwing so much money at education” as the ad plays a clip of the construction exec from a GOP guv debate.
Jacque adds Michels said he’d consider abolishing the state department of education and funding our public schools is the “definition of insanity.”
“I don’t want him in charge of my kids’ education,” she says to close the spot. “Tim Michels is too radical, too divisive.”
