Gov. Tony Evers has launched a new TV ad that touts efforts to expand skills training.

It is the eighth ad that Evers has released as part of a $3.5 million buy through the August primary that he previously announced. The campaign said the new spot will run on broadcast and cable TV.

In the spot, Evers says college is great, but “not the best path for everyone.”

He says careers in the skilled trades are good-pay and “badly needed” and that he expanded skills trailing while also signing a bipartisan law to connect students and their parents with more information on apprenticeships.

“Folks, our high school students need to know all their options when it comes to their future,” Evers says in the ad. “It’s the right thing to do for our kids and for our economy.”
