MADISON, Wis. — Today, Governor Tony Evers’ campaign launched three new ads highlighting Tim Michels’ radical agenda on everything from healthcare to gun safety. Michels wants to criminalize abortion, would let teenagers buy AR-15s, and would sign legislation to allow more guns on school grounds. And Michels even tried to bill Wisconsin taxpayers twice for the same job.
Tim Michels is radical and wrong for our state — and Wisconsinites know he can’t be trusted. While Republicans are trying to divide us with their radical politics, Gov. Evers will always do the right thing for our state.

Tony for Wisconsin: “Dishonest”
I would never bill someone twice for the same job, but Tim Michels has a record of doing just that.
Michels billed Wisconsin taxpayers twice for the same construction job, totaling four hundred thousand dollars.
And you and I paid for it.
And once he was caught, Michels tried to charge the taxpayers an extra fifty-two thousand dollars just to fix it.
That’s totally dishonest.
I never trust anyone like that as Governor.

My school does active shooter drills every few months.
It’s terrifying to think about.
Tim Michels wants to allow teenagers my age to buy AR-15s with no waiting period.
It’s a terrible idea.
It’s a really bad idea.
And Michels wants to allow people to bring loaded guns on our school grounds.
And that’s just not okay.
I don’t want guns in my school.
We shouldn’t be making things worse.
Tim Michels is just way too radical.
He’s way too divisive.

When I heard from my doctor, it was my worst nightmare.
My baby’s diagnosis was dismal, a severe abnormality, and my husband and I decided to have an abortion so our daughter wouldn’t suffer.
Tim Michels thinks that decision should have been his, not ours.
He wants to criminalize abortion and if he’s elected, women will lose the freedom to decide what’s best for them.
Tim Michels is just way too radical for Wisconsin.
