GREEN BAY, Wis. — Today, Governor Tony Evers’ re-election campaign is launching its next series of television ads, focused on highlighting Tim Michels’ radical agenda for our state. These ads follow the Evers’ campaign first ad of the general election cycle, “Flashy” — focused on Gov. Evers’ experience as an educator and his record of doing the right thing for our state.

We don’t have to guess what Tim Michels would do as governor, because he’s already told us:

  • Tim Michels supports banning abortions with no exceptions for rape or incest, and he’s said that people shouldn’t be openly gay in public.
  • Michels has committed to slashing funds from neighborhood public schools and he supports allowing teenagers to buy AR-15s with no waiting period.
  • And Tim Michels hasn’t moved on from the last election and won’t rule out decertifying the 2020 election results as governor.

“Tim Michels’ agenda is too radical and divisive for Wisconsin,” said Tony for Wisconsin Spokesperson Manager Sam Roecker. “Michels would ban abortions with no exceptions, slash funds from neighborhood public schools, and won’t rule out decertifying free and fair election results because he doesn’t like the outcome. While Tim Michels is focused on dividing our state, Governor Evers is focused on bringing people together to do what’s right for Wisconsin.”
