Gov. Tony Evers talks education in a new TV ad, saying he’s “not the flashiest guy around, but I’ll always do the right thing for Wisconsin.”
The ad — Evers’ 13th of his reelection bid — is part of a previously announced $3.5 million buy through the Aug. 9 primary.
In the spot, Evers says he spent his career as a teacher, principal and superintendent and didn’t think “in a million years” that he’d be in politics.
“But when I saw the last administration cutting millions from our schools, demoralizing teachers, and dividing communities, I knew I had to step up,” Evers says. “Quality education for our kids matters to me, and it matters to the future of our state.”
