MADISON, Wis. – Today, Family Friendly Wisconsin released the following statement regarding Senator Ron Johnson’s dangerous and selfish record, and pledging a commitment to accountability efforts in 2022:

Brita Olsen, state director of Family Friendly Wisconsin:

“For too long, Senator Johnson has been making headlines in state and national news for his priorities, which include giving tax breaks to the uber wealthy and consistently blocking pandemic relief for working families in Wisconsin. He continues to spread mis- and disinformation about the COVID-19 pandemic, endangering the lives of people across the Badger State.

Senator Johnson needs to stop putting his personal interests ahead of Wisconsin working people and families. Family Friendly Wisconsin will work to ensure Wisconsinites are aware of his record by holding him accountable in our communications.”

Here’s a look into Senator Johnson’s voting record:

  • Voted against the American Rescue Plan, which provided critical relief during the pandemic for families and small businesses across Wisconsin.

  • Voted against economic impact payments of $1,400 for adults and $1,400 for each dependent

  • Voted against child tax credit expansion, from $2,000 to $3,600 for children under 6 and $3,000 for children under 18

  • Voted against housing assistance for homeowners and renters to keep families in their homes

  • Voted against the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill, a once-in-a-generation investment in the infrastructure that supports our country, including investments in clean drinking water, broadband, roads, bridges and rails.
