MADISON, Wis. – Family Friendly Wisconsin released a storybook today highlighting the real-life experiences of individuals across the Badger State and emphasizing the need to pass Build Back Better for the relief and support it would provide families.

“For too long, working families across Wisconsin have struggled to support themselves due to the rising costs of care, prescription drugs and other essentials needed to get by,” said Brita Olsen, state director of Family Friendly Wisconsin. “The policies in President Joe Biden’s Build Back Better Act invest in families and give them the necessary resources to uplift and support themselves.”

The storybook highlights the experiences of child care providers, small business owners and everyday working people that have been left behind. The book details how policies such as paid family and medical leave and the child tax credit, as well as investments to make child care and prescription drugs more affordable, would provide much needed relief to families.

“This storybook serves as a call-to-action for lawmakers to pass the policies in Build Back Better. Family Friendly Wisconsin calls on Sen. Ron Johnson to prioritize the needs of Wisconsin working families by passing Build Back Better,” Olsen said.
