As I watch the aftermath of the Texas school shooting, my heart is heavy with grief over the tragic loss of young innocent lives.

The hatred in our world is rising and hearts have begun to wax very cold. The level of evil involved in such a crime is unimaginable to me.

My heart bleeds for the children and adults lost to such insane violence. Today I bow my head and pray for the families whose precious children and loved ones have been ripped away from them so brutally.

I ask all of Wisconsin to join me in a moment of silence and prayer for our children in this land-

Lord, we come to you today in shock over this horrific violence perpetrated on your children. We ask that you lift up the parents and loved ones of each victim and carry them through this tragedy under the shadow of your wings.

Comfort their hearts as only you can, in the wake of such a nightmare and pour out strength and help for them. May you send walls of protection to guard our children across America, and may this community be strengthened together to help one another bear such a tremendous loss of precious life.

Lord, we ask that you heal our land, and strike down the wicked who have evil intent and only darkness in their hearts. Though we don’t understand the evil that seems so prevalent today, we can rest in the knowledge these precious children are now with you and far from the reach of any more pain or sorrow.

May you comfort the minds and hearts of everyone who loved them and reassure them that death is not the end. And know they will be reunited again in your loving embrace in time. God protect our children!

Revelation 21:4

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
