JULY 22, 2022 (Fond du Lac, Wisconsin) – In June, Walleye Weekend celebrated 43 years of tradition, family fun, and community support at Lakeside Park in Fond du Lac. The numbers have been collected, and FFI is happy to report a successful event and fundraiser. Attendance was estimated at 45,000 event-goers for the 3-day festival, with record attendance on Sunday’s Family Day, and over $250,000 was raised for 36 area nonprofit organizations.
“Many people don’t know the number of nonprofit organizations and volunteers that make up Walleye Weekend,” Pete Wilke, Executive Director of Fond du Lac Festivals shares. “This year we partnered with 36 area nonprofit organizations and tallied over 1,000 volunteers with countless volunteer hours.
