WASHINGTON D.C. – Foreign Policy for America announced today its endorsement of Deb McGrath for election to the U.S. House of Representatives. McGrath is a foreign policy expert; she has served in the sector for 25 years, first in the Army and later as a national security officer at the State Department and the CIA. She now hopes to bring her significant expertise to Congress.

“Deb is the kind of leader who will walk into Congress and have a powerful impact on Day One. Her experience in the Army and the CIA set her apart from partisan political types,” said Andrew Albertson, Executive Director of Foreign Policy for America. “It’s not every day that we get to endorse someone with the depth of national security knowledge and experience as Deb McGrath has. That’s what makes her such a special leader, and that’s why we’re so proud to support her.”

During her time in the Army, McGrath served in the DMZ on the Korean Peninsula. While at the CIA, she worked across the globe, including in South and Southeast Asia, West Africa, the former Soviet Union, and Central Europe. McGrath’s campaign pulls from her strong experiences abroad and her policy and campaign messaging strategies highlight how her time in the military and working for the federal government strengthened her belief in the Constitution and the rule of law. She understands the power of strong foreign policy as well as how to get things done in Washington.

McGrath joins other FP4A endorsed candidates: Rep. Colin Allred (TX-32), Sen. Michael Bennet (CO-Sen), Patrick Branco (HI-02), Rep. Jason Crow (CO-06), Rep. Val Demings (FL-Sen), Lt. Gov.
