AG Josh Kaul is airing a new ad with National Sheriff’s Association President and former Dane County Sheriff Dave Mahoney touting the Dem’s work leading the Department of Justice.

According to AdImpact, the ad is airing in the Milwaukee, Green Bay-Appleton, La Crosse-Eau Claire and Wausau-Rhinelander markets.

Kaul and the Democratic Attorneys General Association have $2.2 million in paid media reserved over the final two weeks of the race, according to AdImpact. By comparison, Fond du Lac DA Eric Toney and the Republican Attorneys General Association have $738,529 reserved.

Kaul and DAGA also have a more than 5-to-1 advantage in terms of gross ratings points, how often the ads will be seen.

Mahoney opens Kaul’s new ad touting his own 40-year law enforcement career and adds he can’t imagine a better AG candidate. He also praises Kaul for putting murderers, serial rapists and other violent criminals in prison.

“And he’ll work with anyone, Republican or Democrat to get it done,” Mahoney continues. “Look, there’s more we have to do. But the only one I’d want leading the fight against crime is our attorney general, Josh Kaul.”
