APPLETON, Wis. – Outagamie County Executive and pro-labor populist U.S. Senate candidate Tom Nelson is honored to receive the endorsement today of former Brown County Supervisor Mark Becker. Becker served Brown County for many years and is a small business owner. Despite being a former member of the Republican Party and the former chair of the Brown County Republicans, Mark recognizes the dangerous conspiracy rhetoric coming from the Wisconsin GOP, especially Ron Johnson, and its threat to our democracy. Becker got national attention for his article for The Bulwark in which he discloses Ron Johnson admitted to him personally that Joe Biden fairly won the election, but had to back Trump’s claims of fraud or face “political suicide.”

Becker said the following in his endorsement:

“As a former Republican county chair, I proudly endorse Tom Nelson as the candidate we need to defeat Ron Johnson. Tom has proven he knows how to win in red areas and he knows how to work across the aisle. That’s the type of senator Wisconsin needs.”

Nelson said, “I’m honored to have his support. If we had more brave and principled Republicans like Mark Becker, this country would be in a lot better shape.”
