Madison, Wis. – Today, For Our Future Wisconsin (FOF-WI) celebrates the victories of Governor Tony Evers, Attorney General Josh Kaul, and other Democrats down the ballot who are committed to defending Wisconsinites’ freedoms and fighting for working families.
In Wisconsin, voters turned at the highest rate across the country, and they turned out to support individuals who share their values and who will fight for their rights and freedoms.
“Voters across Wisconsin understood that our freedoms were at stake in this year’s midterm elections, and they took this energy with them to the ballot box as they voted for candidates who will protect their rights, defend their values and fight for policies that uplift and empower working families,” said Peter Drummond, state director of For Our Future Wisconsin. “FOF-WI is excited to see what these individuals accomplish in the coming years for working families.”
Along with those at the top of the ticket, Democrats in the state legislature also defended crucial seats in both the Senate and the Assembly, and were able to hold off a Republican supermajority in the Assembly and protect Governor Evers’ veto.
FOF-WI is proud to have been a part of the mobilization of organizations and campaigns across the Badger State that worked to energize Wisconsin voters and elect candidates who share our values to office. Since the Spring Election, FOF-WI held more than one hundred thousand conversations with voters in every corner of the state.
