MADISON — Today, State Treasurer and candidate for U.S. Senate Sarah Godlewski traveled to Kenosha to participate in the Bans Off Our Bodies rally and join advocates in making their voices heard as the Supreme Court appears likely to overturn Roe v. Wade in the coming weeks.

“Women in Wisconsin don’t want Ron Johnson and the GOP making health care decisions for them, and they need a U.S. Senator who won’t treat our reproductive rights as an afterthought,” said Sarah Godlewski. “As the only woman in this race, it’s terrifying to me that we could have fewer rights than generations of women before us. This fight is personal to me, which is why I’m running to guarantee reproductive rights for all.”

If the Supreme Court hands down this ruling, Wisconsin’s cruel abortion ban — one that has been on the books since before the Civil War — could go back into effect. As a leading voice for reproductive rights, Sarah has joined Wisconsinites across the state to add her voice in the fight for reproductive freedom. Following the leaked draft of the Supreme Court opinion last month, Sarah joined advocates at the Supreme Court plaza, and she was the first candidate in this race to cut an ad responding to the decision.
