Sarah Godlewski on MSNBC earlier this week: “We do not want politicians like Ron Johnson, making health care decisions for women and affecting our freedom”

MADISON – Today, State Treasurer and candidate for U.S. Senate Sarah Godlewski slammed Ron Johnson for refusing to protect women’s reproductive rights as the U.S. Senate tried and failed to pass Senator Tammy Baldwin’s Women’s Health Protection Act. Wisconsin has an abortion ban with no exception for rape or incest on the books from 1849 that could go back into effect if the U.S. Senate fails to codify Roe v. Wade and the United States Supreme Court overturns Roe as they are poised to do next month.

“While Ron Johnson stands by and does nothing to stop an abortion ban from possibly going back into effect in Wisconsin, I will do everything I can to ban Ron Johnson from the Senate come November,” said Sarah Godlewski.

Sarah has been loud, clear, and unwavering about her commitment to protecting abortion rights. When news broke of the Supreme Court potential decision, Sarah acted quickly and was the first Senate candidate in the U.S. to release an ad responding to the vote, proving this is a top priority.
