MADISON – Today, following texts showing that Ron Johnson wanted to personally deliver false documents to Vice President Pence in an attempt to overturn the 2020 presidential election, State Treasurer and candidate for U.S. Senate Sarah Godlewski slammed Johnson for his role in the radical right’s attempt to overthrow our free and fair presidential election.
Sarah Godlewski released the following statement:
“Today, we learned just how far Ron Johnson went to try and overthrow the 2020 Presidential Election. The question now is, did he ask Donald Trump for a pardon? It is clear Ron Johnson is a threat to our democracy and is unfit to continue serving in the United States Senate. He should resign, but we know he won’t, the only way to stop him is by defeating him in November–and I’m the one who will get the job done.”
