Milwaukee, WI – The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Local 494 and Local 890 announce their endorsements of Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes’ campaign for United States Senate.

“IBEW Local 494 would like to congratulate Lieutenant Governor Barnes on his primary election victory last evening and announce that our Local Union has endorsed his campaign for United States Senate,” said Local 494 Business Manager Dean A. Warsh. “The stakes could not be higher in November’s election and that is why we are publicly announcing our support of his campaign to represent Wisconsin’s working families.”

“Wisconsin needs two US Senators fighting for our issues in Washington D.C. and that is why after last night’s primary election result, Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes has earned IBEW Local 890’s endorsement to serve Wisconsin as our next United States Senator,” said Local 890 Business Manager Leo Sokolik.

“We both would also like to thank Alex Lasry, Sarah Godlewski, Tom Nelson and the rest of the democratic primary candidates for a spirited debate throughout the primary election,” added Mr. Warsh and Mr. Sokolik. “The time is now to get behind Lieutenant Governor Barnes and do everything we can to give Senator Tammy Baldwin a partner in Washington; one who will fight like she has for the issues that are near and dear to organized labor, our members and all working families throughout our great state.”
