Milwaukee, WI – The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Wisconsin State Conference held their 86th Annual State Convention in Minocqua, Wisconsin where IBEW Local 494 Business Manager Dean A. Warsh, who had been serving most recently as the Vice President and prior as Secretary-Treasurer, was elected unanimously to serve this important and influential statewide body as President.
“It is an honor and a privilege to be elected to serve my Union sisters and brothers in this role,” said Dean A. Warsh. “I would also like to thank both outgoing State Conference President Don Allen from Local 158 in Green Bay and Secretary-Treasurer Tony Bartels from Local 965 in Madison on their years of service to the IBEW State Conference, while also congratulating them on their well-deserved retirements. Our Union is stronger, more secure and would not be where it is today, without their steady leadership and commitment to the IBEW and all its members throughout this great state,” added Mr. Warsh.
President Warsh will be joined by IBEW Local 430 Business Manager Chris Gulbrandson from Racine as Vice President and IBEW Local 965 Business Manager Dillon Gorman from Madison as Secretary-Treasurer to round out the elected positions of the IBEW Wisconsin State Conference.
“With Chris Gulbrandson and Dillon Gorman stepping up to serve in these important positions with me, I am confident that the IBEW and all of its members will be able to continue building upon the work that has been started and take our Union into its next chapter locally and statewide,” concluded Dean A. Warsh.
The IBEW Wisconsin State Conference serves as the statewide representative body of over 15,000 members of the IBEW. It works to secure the greatest good and just legislation on their behalf, while also promoting the interests and issues of organized IBEW workers in multiple sectors throughout Wisconsin.
