AG candidate Adam Jarchow is running a digital ad campaign targeting GOP rival Eric Toney filing charges against those who violated Gov. Tony Evers’ original stay-at-home order at the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The campaign said the spots will run on digital platforms statewide, but didn’t announce other details.
Jarchow, a former state lawmaker, has targeted Toney, the Fond du Lac County DA, over the charges he filed but later dropped.
One of the spots says Toney charged a restaurant owner, customer and “even a waitress” for violating Evers’ order.
“That’s right. Grabbing a beer led to criminal charges. Wisconsin deserves better,” Jarchow says.
