An explosive report today from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel uncovers that Eric Toney, speaking with longtime personal friends, shared that he could not vote for President Donald Trump. This is the latest report stemming from Toney’s personal network of friends that show that Toney finds himself at odds with Trump and did not vote for him.

Toney went so far as to give Trump the moniker “Dumb Dumb Donald.”

Said one of Toney’s close friends: ”Nothing about him was ever going to vote for Trump.”

Voters shouldn’t find this report entirely surprising. During the extreme lockdowns of 2020, Toney was quick to prosecute small business owners and families who stood up against the unconstitutional government overreach. This includes a waitress, a restaurant customer, and a rental property owner who allowed a family to swim in the pool.

The report comes just days ahead of the August 9 Primary Election – and voters should be warned. Beyond voting for both Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden, Eric Toney has a troubling record of siding with big government Democrats’ efforts to restrict our rights and liberties. We can’t afford him as attorney general.

Conservative commentator Mark Belling recently echoed concerns about Eric Toney’s questionable conservative bonafides. And Richard Moore published a piece stating that “Nominating Eric Toney for attorney general would be a colossal disaster for the GOP.”

Key excerpts from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel piece:

A third longtime supporter of Fond du Lac District Attorney Eric Toney has stepped forward to say the Republican attorney general candidate made it clear he favored President Joe Biden over former President Donald Trump back in 2020.

And the individual has text messages to prove it.

In one exchange on March 14, 2020, Toney and two longtime supporters were critical of the response by local and national leaders, including Trump, to the pandemic.

“I’m highly confident this pathetic response put the nail in coffin on any chance I’d vote for Dumb dumb Donald with Joe on the other side,” Toney wrote the two pals, both of whom have known him for more than a decade.

    …

Said one of Toney’s longtime supporters who was involved in the text exchanges, “These text messages are consistent with what (Toney) said repeatedly in the years leading up to and following the 2016 and 2020 elections.”
