U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson has launched a new digital ad that hits Barnes for a tweet that derided U.S. Rep. Steve Scalise after the Louisiana Republican was shot by a gunman in 2017 during practice for the Congressional Baseball Game.
The ad opens with news reports of the shooting at the GOP baseball team's practice, including one newscaster noting Scalise remained in critical condition.
