U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Oshkosh, released a new TV ad that knocks Dems on inflation.
Johnson’s campaign said the ad will run statewide on broadcast and cable TV but didn’t release other details.
Johnson narrates the spot, saying inflation has surged to a 40-year high and Dems have “declared war” on fossil fuels, driving gasoline prices to record highs. He adds former President Obama’s chief economist says inflation is costing families $4,000 a year.
“Why? Because Democrats are printing trillions of dollars to pay for their massive deficit spending,” Johnson says, calling inflation “the Democrats’ tax on the middle class.”
He closes the spot saying he approves the message because he’s “concerned about rising prices just like you.”
